The Gray Family - Salt Lake Family Photography

During the Thanksgiving holiday I was also excited to take my sister-in-law's family portraits.  She had been driving all over Boise trying to find a good location before I got there and she succeeded in finding THE most beautiful barn - EVER!



And even though it was cold (am I sensing a trend in the latest sessions?) we got there right at that amazing hour when the sun is setting and the light is so golden and beautiful - ripe for light flares!



And here is her cute oldest son.  He's such a fun nephew - always asking questions and telling stories.  I have a soft spot in my heart for talkers since I can never stop talking myself!



And here is her adorable little girl.  She has the tiniest little munchkin voice that never gets old to hear.  It's like little tinkling bells.  I love it!





More of that beautiful red barn.  The owners were so kind to let us come and take pictures there.  It really was like the barn of my dreams.  Thanks goodness my brother-in-law Bryce has guts of steel because I was too timid to want to go to someone's back door(they weren't answering the front door) to ask for permission!



And here the the adorable baby of the family.  Such a handsome boy and always so smiley and happy.  What a doll.  And how about those eyes, eh?

The Arntsen Family - Utah Valley Family Photography

This is my cool cousin and his family.  He lives in Boise and I was there for the Thanksgiving holiday.  I realized on my way to see him and to take these that I hadn't seen him in almost a dozen years.  First of all, we should see each other more often and secondly, I don't feel old enough to have not seen someone in that long that I saw in college!  Anyhow,  even though it was a chilly day in Boise we found this cool deserted farm and the sun was golden.  I love them!



I always wanted a redhead - I love them!


And this little gal was just the funniest thing! She was soo expressive and silly plus really cute. Everything a photographer dreams of!




And her older sister was so sweet. Right away I could tell she is one of those children that is a blessing to their mom because they are so sweet and helpful.



And here we have the oldest son - who was also a lot of fun. Don't you love that middle shot of him? So cute and genuine.


I was loving the light so much I made mom and dad get over into it. Isn't it pretty?


Also, my cousin's father-in-law was in town for the holiday so he came along. I was a big supporter of it because with such a distimct cool look like he's got I was itching to take some images of him.


So thanks, Peder & Samantha - I'm so glad we could meet up! Let's not let another dozen years pass before we do it again.

The Beal Family

While I was in Boise visiting family in July I had the a little time for a session with an old friend of my husbands'. We headed up to the historic train depot there and had a great time. Here are some highlights:


















This is their little new one - he was only about 5 weeks old - what a cutie!
